Do you want to go to an industry event but are not sure if it is worth spending the money?
I have 3 words for you - Just Do It!
I am a huge advocate of attending events. The ideas and connections that I make at each event far out-weight the money I invest by attending.
Here are the main reasons why you need to go to events:
1. Learn new trends and strategies for your business - There is a direct correlation between success in your business and investing in your education and personal growth. I have seen this in my own business. The strategies and ideas I get out of attending events make me a lot more money than any money I spend attending.
2. Events allow you to connect with leaders in your field as well as your clients - trying to build relationship over social media can take a bit of time. Meeting face to face allows you to connect on a new level. At events, you can connect with industry leaders at lot easy. You can speak with them after they present. I have come home from events I have attended with new joint venture partners and partnership opportunities.
3. A chance to be inspired - Entrepreneurs are a special breed so it is important that you have the chance to associate with other entrepreneurs. We all need to be inspired! It is great to hear the stories of other successful entrepreneurs and learn that they have overcome similar challenges as you.
4. . A chance to get out of the office - especially if you run an online business, working from home can sometimes feel a little bit isolating. Events allow you to get out and meet new people and have a change of scenery. I am currently visiting Adelaide for the first time and connecting with other mumpreneurs.
So next time you are thinking about going to an event, think of it as an investment in your future success!
