My Little Red Book
It has been 60 days since I started my gratitude journal and I have found it really has made a huge impact.  

Just before I go to bed at night, I write down 5 things I am grateful for - sometimes it is trivial like my air conditioner or it can be the people whom I love and cherish.  What I found through this exercise, is recognising how blessed I am.  Sometimes I get so caught up on what I want to achieve, I forget what I have already achieved.  It helps me focus on being happy now and not always thinking my happiness will be greater in the future.  It is also a great way to unwind and prepare for sleep.

I know Oprah has been doing this for decades and I can see why!  To get started, all I did was buy a little notebook and put it next to my bed with a pen.  I do not go to sleep without doing this - no matter how tired I am. I have even done it by torchlight when my husband has already gone to bed.
